Not sure how this will work – but figured it’s worth a shot. I’m searching for a featured writer to write a post Game 5 Blazers/Rockets blog entry for Beyond The Beat. The criteria is easy. The choice is yours. Here’s the skinny….

This is the chance for you the reader to become the writer.

Disclaimer: professionalism is preferred.

I’m looking for a quick hitting entry (no more than 400 words) either about the game, a player/players, a trend you recognized during the game or a straight-up bald face opinion piece – legitimacy over lunacy please.

I’ll even supply you with a quote or two to help round out the piece. Just let me know the question and the person/people you want me to track down (it's how you win, actually).

I’ll pass along the quote to you as soon as I get it. All I ask in return is solid content, keep it under 400 words, and to meet the deadline: have post to me no later than Wednesday morning at 9am PST. The sooner the better.

Basically, the question/quote you want me to fetch will determine who the winner is. The better the question/quote, the better your chance of winning.

quick update: just had a die-hard blazers fan residing in los angeles hit me up.....some really good stuff regarding houston, rudy, nicolas among others.

entries are coming in, so thanks to those who have written thus far.

also, note that i changed the cut off time. it is now at the end of the game....by the final buzzer.
